Landscape & Geology El Torcal Nature Reserve

La Pena de los Enmorado , about 4 miles from the villa, is a mountain jutting out from a vast plain resembling a human face looking up to the sky, and of particular interest.

Flamingoes at Fuente de Piedra

El Torcal Nature Reserve, carved by water, ice and wind from limestone, houses incredible natural sculptures resembling people and animals. There are many underground caves and galleries. El Torcal is an important natural habitat for the mountain goat, eagle owl, tawny owl, reptiles, orchids, peonies and lilies to name a few. Follow the trails through these ravines and mountain passes for a truly unique hike.
